Emergency Aid Program

Dreamkeepers Grant Program

Purpose: The 'Dreamkeepers' Emergency Aid Grant Program'    assists students at risk of dropping out of college due to unexpected financial emergencies. Through the Center for Student Success (CSS), the aid program was created to help students stay in college and meet their education goals, ultimately, securing a better financial future. Aid covers up to $500 in financial expenses.


Program Requirements

  • Have completed the 2022-23 FAFSA.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of a  2.0.
  • Part-time students with 6 to 11.5 credits.
  • Full-time students with a minumum of 12 credits.
  • Must be in attendance at the time of application.
  • Provide some form of documentation (e.g. quote from a dentist's office) of financial emergency and how it will impact your education.

What to Know

Before Applying

  • Before a student can apply for aid, one must first meet with a member of the Emergency Aid Committee (see contact info. below) to determine your eligibilty.
  • Once eligibility has been determined by a committee member, students will be directed to complete the online application.

After Applying

  • Once the online application has been completed and ALL required documentation in submitted, the Emergency Aid Committee will review your application and contact you via email todiscuss the status of your application and next steps. You may also be referred to additonal resources.
  • Once a decison has been made, the Emergency Aid Administrator will approve, partially approve, or deny your application and will notify you via email.
  • If a student is approved to receive aid, monies will be distributed within two business days, no more than four business days to the designated entitiy or agency.
